I'm a math major with a passion for equipping others with tools for budgeting, investing, and living sustainably in all senses of the word. Check out a summary of my skills in my resume. I've followed PFC for about two years and have several ideas for taking it to the next level!
Any skill that PFC needs, I can teach myself how to do it. (Seriously, try me.) Things I've successfully learned on my own include grad-level math courses, graphic design programs, new instruments, and new languages (both the spoken & coding kinds).
Like PFC, I advocate for making the world a more equitable place by promoting diversity & inclusion at work, donating 20% of my income, and making a sustainable lifestyle more accessible for people of all demographics. As part of the team, I will use my skills to expand PFC's reach and impact.
Look at some cool improvements I made to your tools after taking your course!
I added the ability to set a different investment rate partway through one's working years before actually retiring and starting to withdraw money. This is a more realistic FI/RE scenario for many people who would like to plan a career switch or to go from a two-income to a one-income household.
I turned the simple rebalancing worksheet into a holistic portfolio snapshot, which handles more realistic scenarios where multiple funds are each composed of multiple asset classes. I also added a framework for values-based investors to reference sustainability ratings alongside expense ratios to inform their investing decisions.
